Nearly 40 people were killed in the result of clashes between the army and the Tuareg rebels in Northern Mali, Reuters reported.

In Northern Mali tense situation persists for a long time. Crisis in the country was the result of the overthrow of the regime in 2011 of Muammar Gaddafi in Libya – then on Malian territory gushed refugees from Tuareg tribes. Having occupied the North of the country they proclaimed the state Azawad. Later extremists displace the Tuareg with controlled areas.

In early 2014 the French and Malian military knocked extremists of the largest cities in northern Mali, however, the movement of the Tuareg in Kidal established their government.

As informs Reuters referring to a source in the army Mali, on Friday between cities Kadal and Gao began clashes militaries and rebel Tuareg, on Sunday in clashes were killed 37 people.
