Numerous demonstrations against the Israeli assault on Gaza and the beginning of the ground operation in Palestine passed on Friday night, in many cities of Turkey, reports Hurriyet.

A group of demonstrators gathered in the Levent district of Istanbul, the front of the building of the Consulate General of Israel.

They waved Palestinian flags and chanted: “Hello resistance Gases from Istanbul!”, “Murderer Israel, get out of Palestine!”,”Hamas, strike at Israel”. The police did not intervene until then, until the protesters break into the door of the Consulate General, not tried to break into the room. Then the police used water cannons and tear gas. After a while, the crowd retreated.

In Ankara, a crowd of a thousand people gathered in front of the residence of the Ambassador of Israel. In front of the American Consulate General in Adana demonstrators had read an address to the press. The participants read the Koran, and in the morning to pray, after which they started to shout anti-Israeli slogans.

In Izmir, the group of 25 people gathered on the Central square of the city, read the prayer for the dead Palestinians, and then chanted slogans in support of the residents of the Gaza Strip.

Israeli operation in the Gaza
