The White House has called for an immediate ceasefire in the area of the crash

Washington insists to conduct “a full, fair and unimpeded” investigation of the Malaysian airliner crash.


The White House called on Russia, Ukraine and militias to support an immediate ceasefire, to ensure safe access to the crash passenger aircraft.


“It is important to conduct a full, fair and unhindered investigation as soon as possible,” – said in a statement, White House spokesman Josh Ernst.


According to him, the ceasefire is necessary “to ensure safe and easy access to the crash site of international investigation participants, as well as to simplify the search for the remains of the passengers and crew.”


Ernst added that this situation can play an important role participation of international organizations – such as the UN and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and the United States will soon communicate with all stakeholders.


“It is important that there was no fiddling with the evidence and that all potential evidence and remains at the crash site remained intact,” – he stressed.
