In the result of one of the attacks killed 14 people
Up to 14 has increased the number of victims among servicemen of Tunisia, died as a result of the terrorist attack in one of the provinces of the country. Reported by the Ministry of Defense.
According to the ministry, the incident occurred in the area of the mountains of Chambi in the province of Kasserine in the West of the country. On Wednesday evening during the traditional daily breaking of the fast during the Holy month of Ramadan (approximately at 19:40 local time) two armed groups attacked two posts of the national guard, using machine guns and RPGs.
According to the representative of the Ministry of defence Rashid Bahuli, the number of victims can increase. At the moment the authorities implement measures for the evacuation of the wounded.
The province of Kasserine which borders with Algeria is the venue for the counter-terrorist operation against settled there armed Islamist groups linked to “Al-Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb”. In April of this year, the area was declared a closed military zone.
