Earlier, Prime Minister Tony Abbott announced that he will throw the fight against Islamic State 600 troops, including special forces, as well as eight combat aircraft


United Nations, September 26.  Australia began deploying troops in the Middle East to participate in the military coalition against the group Islamic State (IG). This was stated by Prime Minister Tony Abbott, speaking at the general debate of the 69th session of the UN General Assembly.


“Australian troops deployed to the Middle East, so that we can enter into a coalition in order to undermine and weaken the terrorist movement Islamic State on request of the Iraqi government”


Last week, Abbott announced that he will throw the fight against Islamic State 600 troops, including special forces, as well as eight aircraft. According to him, the contingent will be based in the United Arab Emirates.
