Only 20% of respondents believe that the American military really will not be sent to the Middle East. The survey also showed that 45% of Americans are willing to support the use of troops to fight with guns in Iraq and Syria, the Islamic State  if the Pentagon considers such a step necessary. Against the fact that American soldiers were involved in the fight against extremists, even on the recommendation of the Ministry of Defence, made ​​by 37% of respondents. In the poll, which was held September 19-25, was attended by nearly 1300 Adults in the United States.
