MEXICO CITY, Sept. 30. The Mexican Government has rejected the possibility of the country’s participation in the international coalition against armed extremist group Islamic State (IG) in Syria and Iraq.


This was announced here on Monday, the representative of the Foreign Ministry Sergio Alcocer. “Mexico does not intend, and does not plan to be part of any coalition military, whose actions will be directed against any group or organization,” – said Alcocer.


Thus, he denied media reports that the Mexican authorities allegedly providing support to military operations against the Islamic State. “We strongly condemn the actions of extremist groups which have claimed two United States citizen, one Briton and a Frenchman,” – said the representative of the Foreign Ministry.


At the same time, he also denied reports that Mexico supposedly made ​​a commitment to Washington to take part in military operations against the Islamic State. Mexico intends to support “UN operations, which are aimed at maintaining peace and humanitarian are in situations such as natural disasters,” said Alcocer.


The diplomat said that the government condemns the actions of Islamic extremists and the position of Mexico “is the condemnation of their actions, which is absolutely unacceptable,” but not to participate in military operations against them, he said.
