Japanese Prime Minister promised to Iraqi President $ 25.5 million to address the existing political, military and financial problems
United Nations, September 26. Japan has offered to provide assistance to Iraq’s new government to stabilize the situation in the country and support the fight against terrorists groups Islamic state.
As noted by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in a conversation with the president of Iraq Fouad Maasumom on the sidelines of UN General Assembly, held in New York, Iraq is now needed stability and union of peoples and representatives of various religions to counter the insurgents. In this context, to address the existing political, military and financial challenges Japan will provide $ 25.5 million to Iraq.
Japanese Prime Minister also asked the Iraqi President to ensure the safety of Japanese nationals in Iraq and improve the investment environment to attract more Japanese companies, including in the energy sector.
