World news, WASHINGTON, Sept. 19. US Senate approved a resolution that would allow the United States to arm and train members of the moderate Syrian opposition, in particular, the “Syrian Free Army” to fight the militants extremist group called the Islamic State (IG).

It deals with the supply of the Syrian opposition fighters, as well as training programs.
