According to him, the error in the course of military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan should not be an excuse for inaction in the face of threats


United Nations, September 25. British Prime Minister David Cameron will ask parliament to resolve the country’s participation in the military operations against the group Islamic State (IG) in Iraq.


“For the UK to be the right step to start a new phase of action. So on Friday, I will call on the British Parliament to allow the United Kingdom to take part in international military strikes against Iraq Islamic State,” – he said, speaking at the general debate of the UN General Assembly in New York.


“We are faced with evil, against which should unite the whole world. And like every time is at stake is freedom, democracy and justice, Britain will play its part”, – concluded the Prime Minister.


He noted that the mistakes made in the course of military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, should not be an excuse for inaction in the face of threats from the group Islamic state.


“Past mistakes should not be an excuse for indifference or inaction. In this room there is no man who would not consider this challenge, not looking back to the past. Whether it’s Iraq or Afghanistan,” – he said.
