Militants blew up a car bomb at a checkpoint

Kuwait City, October 27. A powerful explosion have been occurred on the outskirts of Jurf Al-Sakhar, 60 km south-west of the Iraqi capital.

As the satellite channel “Sky News – Arab” seven people have been killed, 15 people were injured.

According to the TV station, militants blew up a car bomb at a checkpoint, located in the El Faris on the northern outskirts Jurf Al-Sakhar.

Last weekend it was reported that security officials failed to completely displace insurgents Islamic state of this settlement, located on the border of the provinces of Anbar and Babil. Jurf Al-Sakhar has strategic importance for the extremists, because from there they could speak to the Shiite city south of Baghdad.
