ROME, October 30. Italian Foreign Minister Federica Mogherini that from November 1, will take the post of EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, condemned the plan by the Israeli authorities on the construction of 1,000 new homes in East Jerusalem.

In addition, the text emphasizes the need to achieve through negotiations, “a comprehensive solution of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict” based on UN resolutions, the Madrid accords, including the principle of “land for peace”, the Arab peace initiative and the “road map” of the Middle East “Quartet”.
