Israeli Prime Minister believes that the Iranian nuclear issue is to the world a much more serious threat than the “Islamic State”
TEL AVIV, October 19. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the agreement on the nuclear issue with Tehran could put Iran on the threshold of becoming a nuclear power with thousands of centrifuges.
“We are facing the danger of an agreement that will make Iran a threshold state, state with thousands of centrifuges that can be used to produce a nuclear bomb within a short time,” – said the head of government of the Jewish state.
“This is – a threat to the whole world, and especially – for Israel, the threat is much more serious than a terrorist group Islamic State (IG),” – he added.
Earlier, Deputy Foreign Minister of Iran Abbas Araghchi, speaking at a meeting with journalists at Tehran University, said that “the expansion of timelines nuclear talks between Iran and the” six “(five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany) beyond the previously agreed date – November 24 – does not appear on the agenda none of the delegation. “All parties “intend to reach an agreement before the expiry of that period,” he added.
In late September, speaking at the UN General Assembly session in New York, Netanyahu has said that Iran is an even greater threat to peace and security in the Middle East than the Islamic State. “Undoubtedly, the Islamic state need to win – said the Israeli prime minister. – But to win the Islamic State and leave Iran on the verge of becoming a nuclear power – it means to win the battle but lose the war.” In this regard, he called then “completely eliminate the Iranian military nuclear capability” and claimed that Tehran demonstrated willingness to engage in dialogue – this is just an attempt to overturn international sanctions, to “remove all obstacles to the creation of (atomic) bomb.”
