Iranian Foreign Minister condemned the "wrong policies of the West" for Afghanistan

The Iranian minister, however, expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the last elections in Afghanistan and the establishment there of the Government of National Unity

TEHRAN, October 31st. Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif condemned “the wrong policy of the West” in relation to Afghanistan.

“Wrong actions led to the growth of radicalism and extremism in the country (in Afghanistan) and in the whole region,” – leads the agency Zarif, who arrived in Beijing to attend an international conference on Afghanistan. The politician did not specify, however, what steps Western countries must take to improve the current situation.

The Iranian minister, however, expressed satisfaction with the outcome of the last elections in Afghanistan and the creation of a national unity government there. He expressed hope that the upcoming fourth conference in China under the so-called “Istanbul Process,” “will help strengthen stability and security in Afghanistan.”

At the Beijing conference will feature more than 20 foreign ministers of several countries.

“Istanbul process” got its name from the largest city of Turkey, where in 2011, brought together representatives from dozens of countries and international organizations to discuss the problem of stabilizing the situation in Afghanistan.
