Gunmen opened fire on the Jordanian border guards, one extremist has been killed

Kuwait City, October 30. Gunmen operating in Syria on Wednesday have clashed with guards from Jordan. As said in a statement late on Wednesday the Ministry of Defence of the Kingdom, one militant killed and two others were injured.

“At about 16:30 local time (16:30 MSK) on Wednesday along the route patrols along the border with Syria in the district of Al Jubayhah in the direction of the patrol opened fire on the Syrian side,” – says the document was quoted media realm.

One employee of the security forces as a result was slightly wounded, “the border guard assistance was provided on the spot.” The statement also stressed that “had to return fire.” One of the attackers was eventually killed, two others injured. Other details were not given.

In connection with the ongoing crisis situation in Syria, Jordan, the government has decided to strengthen its border with ATS, whose length is 370 km. At the same time there are cases of detention of violators who illegally tried to get into Jordan, where, and so currently has about 680 000 refugees.
