BERLIN, October 30. The Bundeswehr (German Armed Forces) is forced to reduce military spending, told the German newspaper Bild, the disposal of which turned out to be a secret document of the Ministry of Defense.

In particular, there is a “large-scale reduction of small and medium-sized investments in armaments”, the newspaper writes. “Decision must be made, from which we must reject” – leads Bild excerpts from the document.

MoD can freeze one or more major projects, the newspaper writes. As an example, called plans for the purchase of six multipurpose warships MKS 180, a possible refusal to participate in the development of multi-national air defense system MEADS (Medium Extended Air Defence System) or from the acquisition of reconnaissance and strike UAVs class MALE (Medium Altitude Long Endurance) .

In the country’s Defense Ministry does not comment.
