The first group of Iraqi fighters “Peshmerga” (Kurdish militia), consisting of 10 people, has already crossed the Turkish-Syrian border and entered Kobani


ANKARA, October 30. Iraqi Kurdistan (IR) is ready to send to the Syrian city Kobani additional troops. This was announced on Thursday the head of IR Massoud Barzani.


“We are ready to throw in the additional armed groups to Kobani, if necessary,” – said Barzani.


The first group of Iraqi fighters “Peshmerga” (Kurdish militia), consisting of 10 people, has already crossed the Thursday of the Turkish-Syrian border and entered Kobani. For security reasons, the Iraqi Kurds have decided to cross the border in small groups.


Total in Turkey is 150 paramilitaries “Peshmerga”. On Wednesday, 85 people arrived by plane from the Iraqi city of Arbil in the Turkish city of Sanliurfa, from where they were taken to the border. Another 65 soldiers crossed the checkpoint Khabur on the Turkish-Iraqi border on Tuesday as part of a military column with appliances and heavy weapons.
