The UN has praised the organization of assistance to Ukrainian refugees in the Rostov region

“The government is doing everything without the help of the international community and excellent to deal with it. This is the standard that other states is difficult to achieve,” – said the representative of the organization

ROSTOV-NA-DONU, October 1. The representative of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees in Russia Baisa Vak-Voya praised the organization help Ukrainian refugees in the Rostov region. This he told reporters, summarizing the three-day visit to the region.

Baisa Vak-Voya visited temporary accommodation centers and schools with pupils from the south-east of Ukraine. “The State shall provide one hundred percent all refugees. They are given training, education, housing, food. Government is doing everything without the help of the international community and excellent to deal with it. This is the standard that other states is difficult to achieve,” – said Baisa Vak-Voya.

According to the representative of the United Nations, from conversations with refugees, he concluded that almost all of them are planning to go back home and wait for the truce secured. He said that the UN has so far not helping Russia in dealing with refugees, as there is no need, however, the organization is ready to do it. “If you need assistance in the mass return of refugees from Russia, we are ready to provide assistance to the Government,” – said Baisa Vak-Voya.

According to the Federal Migration Service, in the Rostov region are more than 48 000 Ukrainian refugees.
