Ukrainian Defense Ministry will oblige all citizens to take "basic training"

For women will be developed  special program with an emphasis in civil defense and medical training

KIEV, August 18th. Ministry of Defense of Ukraine until the end of this year, intends to introduce the concept of military training of reservists. As the press service of the Ministry, under the concept of every citizen will be required to pass a “basic training”.

“Kind of” basic training “will be obligatory for every citizen of Ukraine. Women program will be developed with an emphasis on civil defense and medical training. First experimental groups will be drawn from major cities in the near future”, – said the ministry.

Clarifies that the basis of the concept of military training for military service based on the principle of territorial defense – defense of human settlements and the protection of critical public facilities. Thus, “it is planned to solve the problem of training for guerrilla and sabotage and intelligence networks that will be involved in the case of the occupation of the territory of Ukraine.”

In preparation for military service, as specify in the department, will be widely used experience of fighting in the east of the country.
